Event Description
Slaughter and May invite you to an M&A masterclass which will be taking place on 11th October at 8.30am – 11am.
This will be a practical session on the art and science of negotiation for deal-doers and experts at the forefront of M&A. It will be looking at what negotiation is and the key issues that impact getting deals done – This is a unique opportunity for emerging tech companies to develop negotiation skills from M&A veterans.
The full agenda will be circulated closer to the time, however, the panel will look through the lens of a private M&A process to explore:
· What is negotiation? Approaches, how to prepare, and how best to reach agreement and close out transactions successfully;
· Negotiating structure – negotiating locked box vs completion accounts mechanisms and other structural elements of private M&A deals;
· Negotiating with regulators - handling difficult conversations and how to appease regulators’ key concerns; and
· Negotiating deal protections and limitations on liability
